The Lower Colorado River Authority in Texas recently announced that the deep drought that has gripped the state’s watershed since 2008 is the worst on record. In this piece, AWE's Board Member Carole Baker shares an important message as the state considers strategies to deal with unrelenting growth - “We all know that because of growth in Texas that we need new water supply projects,” Carole Baker, executive director of the Texas Water Foundation. “But we can defer them with aggressive conservation.”
