As California grapples with ongoing drought, San Francisco's investments in efficiency decades ago are paying off. Through rebate programs, usage monitoring, customer communications and recycling initiatives, water use in SF - 49 gallons per day on average - is the lowest in the state. Read here to learn how investing in efficiency has helped AWE member SFPUC (and many other communities) develop a foundation of responsible water use that's now helping them to weather current challenges.
